So WHY on earth would we want everyone to feel oppressed, and
force them to make out monthly checks (many people don't even
HAVE checking accounts!) subject to even more oppressive penalties
if they are late???!!!
I apologize for responding to a 4-month old post, but
I have been catching up on the thread (as my tax-planning
season opens) and just couldn't let this one go by.
Of course I disagree<G> as you no doubt know from our earlier
(very productive IMO) exchanges. Specifically, in regard to:

Such a policy would put tremendous pressure on the miscreants
who misrepresent themselves as our representatives to own up
or get, to borrow a phrase (see below) "rode out on a rail"
at the next election. I, for one, do not believe our current
oppressive tax system could be maintained in the face of it.
I refer to:

He SHOULD have been rode out on a rail!!
And he should be borne back in on a throne, for that one,
though his record otherwise doesn't support it otherwise,
sad to say.
