Apparantly the down-turn in the Semiconductor Sector, the monetary problems in Asia, and the high risk premium on corporate debt will all be solved by a 0.25% reduction in the Fed Funds rate.

It's unfortunate the Fed didn't lower rates 0.25% in September 1997 when these problems first became plainly obvious. The 1/4 point rate cut could have prevented major political and economic turmoil all over the world. Who knew?

On the other hand, this might be yet another false rally in the SOX and other beaten down stocks, on their way down to new lows. I think Cymer is a great trading stock for small investors who will not be adversely affected by the low volume in the stock when they try to sell.
