I do not remember seeing this tidbit on the board. It may have some relevance to the IBM issue. From the CNT website: Fibre Channel Enters the Mainstream InfoStor Magazine September 1998 IBM Global Services (IGS) is implementing a new storage networking concept, called the SMARTcentre, which basically positions the SAN as a more fully integrated component of an overall networking backbone. The SMARTcentre includes Computer Network Technology's (Minneapolis) UltraNet Storage Director, a high-speed switching platform with a dual Fibre Channel interface attached to the Ancor GigWorks MKII switch.
