Howard, Yes I like the fiber-optic industry for the long-term. I would feel comfortable owning GLW, LU, and SPTR. I don't pretend to have the ability to time short-term market fluctuations. All I can say on that score is to try to buy them when they are out of favor. Yes, GLW is the remaining communications division of Corning Glass Works that is the largest single-mode fiber manufacturer in the world. Now that the diagnostic labs division and the pharmaceutical products and services division have been spun off, GLW is nearly a pure play on fiber. Very attractive IMO.

Looked at icefi. Just sent him e-mail asking about 30-day trial such as Morningstar offers. Thanks for the tip.

Can you give an example of the perils of dilutive rights distributions or other "shenanigans" you have seen with CEFs. Do you think these are any more prevalent with CEFs than with stocks in general?

By the way, what's new in ABQ with Intel, if you happen to be tuned in? And what's quantum info theory? Is it the same as chaos theory?
