Clint,

I am out of town starting tomorrow afternoon for about a week to
10 days. I am going to miss the LU and NT conference calls.
Can you post your impressions, if you get a chance to listen to
them. I don't expect any surprises from LU. NT may be a wild card
as they may try to pack all the bad news into the one quarter. As we have seen, NT management is not the best at managing the expectations of Wall Street. It is hard to say what they will do
for earnings.

Selected Stocks Trading This Week

Monday

Tellabs Inc. (TLAB) jumped 2 7/8 to 47 7/8. It reported third quarter net income increased to 49 cents a share from 34 cents last year.

Tape Action - Neutral. TLAB shows slight down tick volume Monday. The stock has rallied from 33 two weeks ago and now looks tired.

Network Solutions Inc. (NSOL) leapt 7 to 40 3/4. It said 13 European firms joined its international premier domain registration services program.

Tape Action - Bullish. NSOL drives higher on expanding volume and strong up tick volume. There is overhead resistance at 47. The stock could carry a bit further before pausing.

Costco Corp. (COST) gained 2 7/8 to 54 7/8. It was recommended by Goldman Sachs.

Tape Action - Very Bearish. COST's move higher Monday was greeted by clear distribution. The stock traded 4.9 million shares with down tick volume of 1 million shares. A peak is at hand after a 14-point run up in three weeks.
