1. Name of restaurant:Jo's
2. Location: Pleasant Hill
3. Type of Food:Japanese
4. Price Range for a meal: $10 - $16
5. Rating based on 4 stars max. for
a. food:**
b. service:*1/2
c. ambience1/2*
6. Comments OK. Take your own photo thing for $3 just inside the front door doesn't do much for the ambience. Mexican sushi chef doesn't help, either. Glass tables with sushi menu wedged between glass and bottom of table not very classy. On the food side, the miso shiro was mediocre. The salad wasn't bad and had radichio and chicory in it, with a miso based dressing. Tempura was pretty good and salmon teriyaki was good, too. The combos came with 3 pc. of Calif. Roll and sukemono. The waitresses were Japanese, which is unusual these days, since more often than not they're Korean. Don't think I'd rush back there again, but the people I was with liked it more than I did.
