Carl, I really hate to get in this nasty conversation; but, a lot of misinformation is being given as fact! JohnD is a LONG TERM VALUE advisor. Not a quick growth or momentum picker. His literature stresses the need to manage your own portfolio. A true VALUE stock can tank or grow when he points it out. He usually states that he expects it to gain over the next year or so. He has been correct to a larger extent than any other picker we have found in the last 40+ years of looking. We keep a analysis set of his vs other value picks. About 100 all together. We evaluate the total for the most CURRENT choices and take positions accordingly. Over the last ten years, it has worked better than any other scheme that we have tried. Realizing how VALUE stocks perform is key (IMHO). Probably will frustrate some but it works for us.
