This is really ridiculous, the fantasy that Westergaard Online owed some African charity the $5,000 bounty for uncovering Pluvia. He was uncovered two days before the deadline by another party. His claim for the award is based on an email self identifying himself and claiming the reward which arrived about an hour after the deadline, but that's irrelevant. WE KNEW AT THAT POINT WHO HE WAS.

I never even heard about this African charity until this morning. By introducing this idea that I somehow failed to meet an obligation to starving African children, the Pluvia crowd is employing a Johnny Cochran strategy. One deflects the substance of a discussion by creating a phony issue of morality -- in the OJ case, by making the issue to be Furhman's racism. He may well be a racist, but for that to have become the centerpiece of Cochran's defense simply says what a genius of a lawyer he is.

A year ago these Pluvia people were calling me a nazi and posting pictures of me in an SS uniform. I find this not only amusing but kind of flattering that I could stimulate such strong feelings. Amazing, amazing. I feel badly about those starving African children, by the way. Incidentally, you want to read an interesting book about Africa, check out "Leopold's Ghost" about how the Belgians massacred millions in the Congo at the turn of the century.
