I tried 60 days on daily chart. You may know that volatility is an issue under debate. It's not uncommon to define volatility by using standard deviation. But in a strong trend such as a series: 1, 2, 3, 4 .... One gets a very high SD without any downsize risk. Or high volatility = no risk. It's more important to identify range trading or trending. Volatility can be defined as the deviation from the trend, price range, % change and implied volatility as well. One can get completly different opinions from the same data. Be prepared before the volatility adventure.
