SWISSRAY ENTERS INTO A DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH X-RAY,
INC. FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF ITS UNIQUE DIRECT DIGITAL
RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, OCTOBER 20, 1998...SWISSRAY
INTERNATIONAL, INC. (NASDAQ: SRMID) announced today its entry into a
distribution agreement with X-Ray, Inc. ("XRI"), Warwick, Rhode Island. Under the term of
the one-year agreement, renewable on an annual basis, XRI will distribute Swissray's direct
digital Radiography (ddR) system, the AddOnMulti-System, in Connecticut, Rhode Island,
Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.

X-Ray, Inc. known as XRI, is the leading company of the XR Imaging Network, Inc. which
includes full-line imaging, asset management, and equipment refurbishment.

Ueli Laupper, CEO of Swissray America, Inc. stated, "With XRI we have found a highly
qualified and renowned distributor to successfully market our digital equipment and services
in the important area of the New England states. We have selected XRI because of the
company's excellent reputation in the field of diagnostic imaging equipment. This agreement
partnership will immediately add 10 new sales people to market our unique direct digital
Radiography systems in the United States."

Richard F. Ernst, President of XRI added, "The agreement with Swissray fits nicely with the
digital expertise that both our account executives and service engineers have enjoyed over
many years here in the New England market. The relationship is perfect for both Swissray's
market direction and the future of XRI in the medical imaging and PACS arena."

The AddOnMulti-System is the world's first multinational direct digital Radiographic (ddR)
system. It is the missing link for a fully digital radiology department, and will move the
industry closer to the ultimate goals: filmless radiology. The Swissray system significantly
reduces operating costs and increases efficiency and productivity of radiology departments
by eliminating time-consuming, labor-intensive and costly use of film, cassettes, chemicals
and imaging plates.

As an innovative developer and manufacturer of x-ray technology and systems, Swissray
International, Inc. is a pioneer of
of direct digital Radiography (ddR) technology. Swissray is, with its unique product line, the
leader in direct digital radiographic systems and provides a comprehensive package of
medical imaging informatics.
