Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Interactive Bring 70s Soul and Baywatch
Appeal to Gaming With the Signing of Two Hollywood Stars

Film & TV star Richard Roundtree to Star in Akuji the Heartless; Sexy Playboy Playmate and "Baywatch" Beauty Marliece
Andrada to Star in GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998-- Leading game studio Crystal Dynamics injects star power into their highly anticipated upcoming
games with the signing of 70s megastar Richard Roundtree to star in Akuji the Heartless and former Playboy Playmate and ''Baywatch'' star Marliece Andrada to
feature in GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko.

Akuji the Heartless is slated for a December 1998 release and GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko is set for a March 1999 release.

''We searched long and hard for talent that would add real creative value to these titles,'' said Scott Steinberg, vice president of marketing for Crystal Dynamics.
''Richard Roundtree's commanding voice and strength give the voodoo warrior Akuji a real-world presence, and Marliece Andrada adds a dose of sexy parody to
GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko, elevating the comedic value inherent in the franchise to a new level.''

Richard Roundtree

Richard Roundtree stars as the voice of Akuji in the voodoo action-adventure Akuji the Heartless. His many years of acting experience give Akuji a real-world
voice, strength and presence. Roundtree will also lend his efforts to the public relations push behind Akuji the Heartless. Fans of seminal 70s action films will
recognize Roundtree as the famed John Shaft, star of ''Shaft'', ''Shaft in Africa'' and ''Shaft's Big Score.'' Roundtree's acting career has continued to flourish in both
film and television, and he is currently starring in the upcoming, action-packed television series ''Rescue 77.''

Marliece Andrada

Beautiful Marliece Andrada will star in the highly anticipated GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko as Special Agent Xtra, the beautiful, leather-clad partner to the
wise-cracking green gecko. Andrada, kidnapped by the evil Rez, appears in-game through leading edge computer compositing technology and full motion video
sequences. She will also support the Crystal Dynamics' multi-million dollar marketing campaign for GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko with involvement in the print
advertising campaign, in-store retail programs and public relations efforts. Andrada burst into the public spotlight with her sizzling Playboy pictorial as ''Miss March
1998,'' and continued to attract fans with her role as lifeguard Skylar Bergman on the worldwide television phenomenon ''Baywatch.''
