Mike,

I am feeling better now about GRNO now than I have in the recent past. If GRNO can continue on its present path, I think it will do well eventually. As far as my contributions to the thread are concerned, I think it will be seen someday that far more valuable support to GRNO has been provided by others. I will leave it at that for now.

Nymex light sweet crude has dropped from $15.60 to $13.35 in the past two weeks. I suppose we can always expect plenty of volatility in energy prices. There is an economic war carried out by oil exporting countries. On one side are the OPEC countries and countries whose oil exports are the most important to them. On the other side of the war are oil exporting countries such as Norway and Britain with industrial bases who need low oil prices to maintain a low cost basis for their industry. Along with them are the basket cases such as Indonesia and Iraq who must produce and export as much as they can for whatever they can get.

In my previous posts, I posted articles from writers who think energy will become much more costly in the coming decade. The question is now whether the OPEC-type countries can live with the sharply reduced incomes that are due to the low prices they are getting along with their sharply reduced production. 40% of OPEC's exports were to the Far East which has drastically reduced oil purchases. It should make a lot of sense to keep their oil in the ground as long as they can if they believe oil will become far more valuable in the foreseeable future. Noesis predicts a gradually increasing price of oil in the next year or so. They will update their forecast in November.

Charles
