I originally purchased SuperCharts4. Played with it, then got a 30 day extension on the free trial and ordered MetaStock6 (&5.11).

I find SuperCharts4 to be a great program but it is noticeably slower than MetaStock 5.11 & 6. MS6 added an Expert Advisor which is an interesting tool. Can do a lot, but I'm just getting familiar with it.

I expect to stay with MetaStock 6 over SuperCharts4. The main reasons are: SC PowerEditor is only available in TradeStation (therefore you can't view/edit some of the formulas, etc.), MetaStock is Microsoft certified, its faster, its Downloader is more fully functional (I use www.quote.com $10/mo off their ftp server -- very good news service about companies & mkt; yes, Canadian stocks too).
