With Internet trading, patience is a virtue and I have two online accounts and have access to three ISPs. One is my own account and the other two are for emergencies (I share costs with some friends). If you stay with Etrade, expect more and more down times. I am trying to juggle my portfolios around so that Etrade is used only for Long-Term investments. I want to use Datek more for Short-Term trades.

Fortunately for me (maybe), my lost trades this morning came back to me at near the end of the session so I am not so angry. However, I would like to know what happened to Etrade today. Does anyone know? I would imagine from past experience that if I emailed them and asked, they would not tell me what really happened.

As I have posted before, if you have an Etrade account, you need another online account too. (From my internet experience, it is not a bad idea to have at least two online broker accounts, 2 ISPs - different cities, and 2 or 3 browsers). Etrade - remember the E stands for Error.
