Hardly proof. 2 Novell demos and three customers. Novell is notorious for fudging benchmarks and demonstrations so I'll respond to customers. The three NetWare examples provided are object counts not user counts. NDS typically consumes 2-3 objects per user (3-5 with ZEN). So, your examples are more in range of 20-40K users. Typical Novell spin.

As for MS directory services:

Digital Equipment Corporation 50,000 USERS

Boeing 130,000 USERS

You'll find these and almost 500 other companies that are using domains in conjunction with other applications at microsoft.com;

Don't you get it? The true power of domains is that they useful for more than LAN administration. They consolidate multiple application directories today. This eliminates the multiple logons and a variety of interfaces to information across multiple directories for end users. They relieve administrators from the complexity of managing multiple directories. Developers no longer have to choose a specific directory implementation or support multiple versions of their application.

Toy, you can call me names and play the "no, you first" game, but the facts are companies are running their businesses on MSFT technology as opposed to just their LANs on NetWare. To add insult to injury, NONE of the NetWare customers you mentioned will allow themselves to be referenced on Novell's customer showcase web site. novell.com Not even a case study. Why are they not willing to place their reputation behind their NetWare decision?

So the ball is back in your court. Say anything about NetWare's distributed database design. That's the proof of the pudding in enterprise directories.

LOL "Novell, the Database Company"
