Chapters launched their online book service sight today. They will be offering discounts from their regular retail pricing. Mike, as a check, I compared Amazon's price for Mordechai Richler's "Barney's Version" vs. Chapter's Online. Amazon has the book for US$17.50 (which is around $27.30 CDN) and Chapter's price is $29.66. The question is how much do you pay in brokerage and how much for shipping?? (I assume you do not use the 8-10 weeks service that Amazon offers). Chapter's is offering free delivery until November 3. Anyhow, I think it is a bit of a marketing blunder not to match Amazon's price (considering this is a Canadian author). I have emailed the company to let them know.
