Does anyone really know total subscribers to AOL or Compuserve or are these figures estimations. Surely the companies themselves know, do they release this to the public? Also, anyone care to offer an explaination why CSRV had gone down since its IPO and AMER continues to go UP? My understaning was AOL had the highest cancellation rate amoung users, has the highest cost (I guess this means profit too), CSRV offers flat fee use AND flat fee Internet (unlimited) now. I've talked to many former AOL users and current who have left for ISP service. With the figures people here discuss on number of subscribers, how can CSRV be half that of AOL, with the gap widening? What is driving the current AOL surge upward? Is there some big announcement that was made? I don't get it.
