Big K, once again, this is the old, consent decree case defense. Where is T.J. Rodgers these days, anyway? Cypress? Even mighty Intel has plenty of competition these days. Cypress's 2 year chart looks pretty sick. In fact, they seem to have peaked in '95.
For years, Microsoft has enhanced Windows with new features -- spreadsheets, word processors, fax utilities, etc.
Fax maybe. Spreadsheets? Word processors? Does that mean wordpad?
A quick search for TJ here found
TJ Rodgers is a arrogant fool. His performance at the last annual meeting was ridiculous. He should be replaced. (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=6014593)
That's a cheap shot, of course. I don't know anything about him at all. But again, this isn't the consent decree case anymore. Random "antitrust is unAmerican" testimony is good on the PR front, but on the legal front, it doesn't count for much.
Cheers, Dan. |
