You've got to be kidding me -- cnnfn says "As a result of an earnings shortfall, networking company Ascend Communications was down sharply during morning trading Tuesday" and now Reuters is reporting "The slump came despite Ascend's report late Monday that third quarter earnings climbed to $0.32 a share, up from $0.20 a year and on par with Wall Street expectatons." earnings shortfall? on par? What's going on here. We all know ASND beat estimates by a penny.
