Dianor Resources Inc.: New Discovery on
Fourniere
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Dianor Resources Inc. is pleased to announce the results of a recent mapping and
prospecting exploration program executed on its 100 percent owned Fourniere property.
Two types of mineralization associated with contact zones between felsic intrusives and greywackes were uncovered
during the 1998 summer season.
In the southeastern part of the property important silver values of up to 190.6 g/t Ag are associated with accumulations
of galena located in pyritised and hematised felsic intrusives and at the contact between quartz veins and the intrusives.
In the northwestern part of the property, felsic intrusives sills intruded in the sediments of the Pontiac Group contain
important stockworks with observed true widths of at least 20 meters. These stockworks can contain up to 40 percent
quartz veins and locally up to 3 percent pyrite and traces of galena. Anomalous values of up to 330 ppb Au and 8.7 g/t
Ag were obtained in this geological environment. An concentration of the gold occurs in shear zones located near the
contact between the felsic intrusives and the greywackes where values up to 13.37 g/t Au were obtained.
All reported assays were obtained from rock grab samples. All assays were performed with an atomic absorption
method at the Intertek Testing Services laboratory in Val d'Or, Quebec. The similarity between the type of
mineralization observed in the northwestern part of the property and the type of ore mined at the old Canadian Malartic
Gold Mines confers specific interest to this property given its proximity to the ancient producer. Indeed, the
mineralized zones recently discovered by Dianor are located approximately 1,300 meters south west of the old shafts.
A more advanced exploration program is in preparation and will be executed as soon as possible.

Promising results :
Assays up to 13.37 g/t Au and 190.6 g/t Ag were obtained on the
Fourniere property from surface grab samples during a recent
exploration program which consisted of mapping and prospecting.
Developments:
The year 1998 represented a period of intense activity with
exploration programs on 6 mining properties 100 percent owned by
Dianor.
Highlights:
Surface exploration work carried out on Dianor's properties during
the 1998 summer field season resulted in the discovery of new
mineralized showings which will be released later this fall. A
diamond drilling program was executed on the Adanac property and
the results will be released as soon as possible.
