Phillip, I admire your optimism, and hope you prove me wrong. However, I think you are kidding yourself regarding Apple's long term success. Doesn't matter if the OS is superior. Wintel will continue to dominate the PC market indefinitely. What happens in Mac sales for one particular period, is of little consequence. Apple's sales may be better in the holiday quarter because holiday purchases would tend to be more for home use, where the Mac is attractive for children. However, business will continue to standardize on Windows-based machines. There is none-existent support for Mac in business, except in niche applications. NEXT, with $50 or $60M in sales, isn't a factor, no matter what you may wish to think. Their impact in the software community is negligible.
