Similarly, this counterbalancing happens within indices. As you'd expect it is most prevalent in the narrow indices and can be observed by yesterday's action in NDX. Chart INTC, DELL, CSCO and MSFT -- with a focus on MSFT. Of course, MSFT is rich in fundamental data and is most easily maneuvered; as such, MSFT can offset the pack in either direction. (You may find similar patterns with NDX, although I have not researched this week.)
