I dont think this will affect Oracle. Everybody wrote off the Oracle apps business. Slower licenses for psft and sap is almost positive for orcl... it allows them to hold on to their mkt share while they try to retool over there.

Its engine technology and the new 8i stuff, in addition to uncertainties regarding msft/DOJ that keeps Oracle stock up now. I used to be an orcl bear, but as soon as I saw applications slowing I changed my mind. Oracle used to be the gorilla in enterprise software... if you wanted consulting tools etc you went to them. Then the ERPs came in and threatened Oracle position there. Now Im not so sure.

In any case there are other sectors such as these internet stocks and Dell etc that seem to have the momentum now. I dont think that will change soon, unless anybody out there has some ideas as to why it would?
