Greetings Terrence. May our Creator continue in His love and mercy towards you
in your days of darkness so that His long suffering may bring forth the illumination
your heart.
You ask:
"How can you explain (away) all the other inconsistencies of
your primitive and warped "philosophy"? Only through the denial of your brain and intellect."
It is true that we find appaarent inconsistencies in the Scriptures. It is equally true that there are no
essential inconsistencies in the Scriptures. The dilemma is resolved when we consider the
meaning of the word WORD>
In the English language, the word, WORD, can refer to a small fragment of a thought or concept or it
can refer to the whole concept or thought. Sometimes we use a rather long ancdote to convey
a thought. Other times, we will try to explain a thought logically with a series of sentences--the method
I am using right now.
Word in the Hebrew and Greek languages conveys the essence of a thought or concept.
God uses all of these various methods to convey His thoughts--His Word- in the Scriptures.
Additionally, when God conveys His Word, He is actually conveying the essence of what He is.
God and His Word--thought-concept are one.
When Chrisitians are Born-Again through Faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit opens the eyes of their heart and they can perceive the
presence and the essence of God in His Words. The Words begin to burn in our hearts.
We see things that the unaided eyes cannot not see. We feel things that our emotions were once
unable to feel. A joy and a peace overwhelms our hearts.
We do not deny our "brains and our intellect". We now use our brains and intellect in harmony with
the Spirit of God to penetrate to the essence of things--to penetrate to the Heart of God.
The reason we cannot penetrate to the essence of reality before we are Born-Again is because
our sinfulness separates us from the righteousness and essence of God.
That is why Jesus -who was pure and sinless--took our sinfulness and gave us the righteousness of God
in the place of our sinfulness.
In Christ we possess the righteousness of God.
THE WORK OF RIGHTEOUNESS IS PEACE
AND THE EFFECT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS QUIETNESS AND ASSURANCE FOREVER.
Terremce, I invite you to look within yourself and see the lack of peace.
I invite you to listen within yourself and hear the noise and lack of assurance.
Peace and quietness and assurance can only come with REALITY. Jesus Crucified for our sins is reality.
WITHIN OUR OWN HEARTS WE CANNOT FAKE --PEACE-QUIETNESS AND ASSURANCE.
ONLY THE REALITY OF GOD IN US CAN GIVE THEM TO US.
May His longsuffering, His love and His mercy bring you to REALITY.
