Playing the momentum game with internet stocks and DELL is a very dangerous game in this market. As simple as it sounds, Momentum is there until it isn't. DELL is selling at over 75 times earnings, do you expect a boxmaker to continue at this pace? The internet stocks are a joke. PSFT was also a momentum stock at $55 with a pe of 100. If you wait until news is out the stock will be down 60%. PSFT management is saying something different today than they said a month ago, and this is supposed to be one of the best management teams in the industry. Still even if it grows 25-35% with a forward pe of 35-40 in a declining interest rate environment, the stock should rally to high 20s and low 30s. NOt bad compared to S&P with a growth of maybe 2% selling at 25 times earnings. Now what do you think is the safer choice: XCIT-YHOO-DELL or PSFT at $20-25? My choice is simple.
