Tim,

To answer your question I obtained the following from there website:

Geographic History

The Claim group known as the Blackhawk Property is located within a late Miocene - Pliocene caldera that erupted approximately 80 cubic kilometers of olivine rhyolite characterized by abnormally high amounts of magnetite, ilmenite and zircon, in addition to the normal rhyolitic components 6-10 million years ago.

Geology  - No Overburden

The property is located at the south end of the caldera where a complex rhyolite dome intruded the welded and vesicular rhyolite flows and air-fall tuffs. Precious metal mineralization is associated with rocks within the intruded zone. The system is deficient in sulfide minerals but distinguished by pervasive hematitic alteration particularly within the vesicular tuff units and is developed over a surface area of 2,000 by 6,500 feet elongated northwest.
