As usual, I don't disagree. Unless the business just got unexpectedly better, and visibility improved dramatically, I doubt that they are buying stock back. My post was simply that it is not impossible as they do have an announced but not completed buyback on record.

An additional area of concern is that this is traditionally the weakest time of the month coming up, so I will probably take some profits. I am already out of MU, but still holding VECO as it appeared undervalued relative to NVLS, AMAT, and KLAC. Speaking of nice run ups, NVLS at 38 or so up from 21?

VECO reports earnings in two days, and I am debating whether I want to be holding when they do. I have no doubt that they will make estimates. I think their BTB will once again outpace the industry by a wide margin. But that will be the first time when most people become aware that they lost the distribution rights to the IBM AFM, and that will clearly have a negative impact on sales going forwards, but I don't know how much. Any thoughts on VECO or the fact that ZIGO picked up the IBM AFM?

Carl
