< I'm employed and by a company that makes MSFT look like 2-bit operation >
Hmmm, your company has huge margins, 17 billion in cash, a monopoly, and one of the largest market capitalizations on earth.

(I'll save you the trouble, since you are so predictable. You will say that your products are better, and you have better quality control, blah blah blah blah) Save the techno babble, weenie, because its time to grow up. We are in this for one reason and one reason only. To make money. As James Barksdale says, Netscape is not in the business of software, they are in the business of making customers and keeping them. So the perceived lack of quality by blinders wearing geeks is completely beside the point. Microsoft makes customers and keeps them, and makes lots of money, and that's all that matters. On the other hand, Novell is scrabbling and scratching and enlisting the courts and Orin Hatch to do their dirty work. |
