Hello....

Long time lurker and first time poster. I simply have to thank you for the information about Emis.

I have a condition where my body will not stop making blood clots. And coumadin is not totally effective for me. As a result, I have periodic hospitalizations where I am given heparin. I was given an option of an injectable heparin where I would give myself shots at Mayo Clinic. Not a very fun thing to think about. The syringes even come pre-filled with the compound.

The specialist I spoke with said that there was a company working on an oral form of heparin, but he neglected to tell me the name of the company. That was in response to my remark of "can't I just take a pill?"

I'm a wimp....I admit it.

I'm going to keep this in my watch list.

Best wishes,
Mary
