Hudon et Deaudelin Chooses LGS Advanced Information
Management System

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--LGS Group Inc., an international management consulting firm specialized in systems integration, has entered into an agreement with Hudon et Deaudelin, a supplier for IGA, Bonichoix and other independent supermarkets, to install a state-of-the-art electronic document management system.

The turnkey project will utilize advanced technologies such as imaging and workflow (FileNet), Greenbar (COLD), Unix (IBM AIX), client/server environments (HP), object-oriented programming and relational data bases (Oracle).

The system will allow the company to annually eliminate the printing and processing of over 30 million pages. The new technology will bring numerous benefits: faster access to information, improved productivity, substantial saving of paper and space, as well as positive environmental consequences.

"Two major factors influenced the decision to entrust this project to LGS specialists" stated Michel Petrucci, Vice-President, Information Management Systems at Hudon et Deaudelin: "the firm's expertise in these technologies and its reputation for carrying out high-quality projects within planned budgets and time schedules."

LGS is a leader in systems integration, business process re-engineering and information technology consulting. It counts more than 1,100 professionals in fifteen business offices in Canada and Europe.
