Corel OEM bundling
......"In the next two weeks, we'll have at least one or two substantial announcements of partners in this business -- marquee names," Sylvester said yesterday.

Sylvester said that during 1997 and 1998, OEM deals have accounted for about 10% of Corel's revenues

....."We haven't had a single OEM campaign that we've considered anything but a success," Sylvester said.

OEM deals announced this year by Corel include:

- Samsung: WordPerfect Suite 8 and Ventura 8.

- Hewlett Packard: Photo Paint 5 and 6 for the Scan Jet 6100 line; Print House Magic for the CD-Writer Plus 7200 E line.

- Compaq Computers: Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 for three Compaq Presario lines in 7,000 Radio Shack stores.

- Wacom: Corel Print and Photo House in North America

- CompUSA is bundling CorelDRAW 8 for Macintosh with the Apple iMac in a rebate program.

In Canada, Future Shop, which just announced it is buying the Computer City stores here from CompUSA, is bundling WordPerfect 8 with a variety of hardware.

Patriot Computers, a Canadian direct marketer, is also bundling a whole range of Corel products with its computers.
