Tom, THis morning I'm reading complaints about the US trade deficit with China as they have surpassed Japan. The complainers are saying that it's unfair for China to have such growth in exports to the US (+16%) while the rest of Asia is having so much difficulty working it's way out of the crisis. I particularly liked the comment that "the other countries allowed their currency to devalue to improve conditions and it's not fair that China has shown growth without devaluing". What? Are these the same ones that were saying that China would have to devalue in order to compete? FWIW, Ron
