Ralston is very interesting, on my short list too - and the price is close. I think Safeway is a short if anything. Why would I pay 30 times earnings for a supermarket? How many more acquisitions can they do? Bed Bath and Beyond has too many wannabee competitors - its just too easy to imitate. Microsoft is not even close - its just too easy because the stock is loved by every institutional investor in the world. Yeah, maybe its the best business in the world but everybody thinks that. It would take much more than a 10% break to even make me look at it. JJC
