Henry, I agree that investors should take their lumps when the risks go against them, but my point is that ALL investors should take their lumps, not just the individual investor. It's inherently unfair that individuals are allowed to suffer, while the institutions (who should be in the best position to assess risk) cry foul and then proceed to get bailed out.

Not fair at all, and I don't subscribe to the "too big to fail" school of thought.
