Don't EVER doubt Microsoft. If any company can rule the technological world, they can....and they plan to. Obviously, a world empire offers plenty of growth potential, which is why the stock is so strong.
I must admit, I am biased toward Microsoft. However, I can't begin to articulate how impressed I was when I visited. You can just feel the energy in Redmond. Some of the brightest people in the world go there to "play." I'm not kidding, most people at Microsoft don't have specific jobs. They are just hired because they are smart, and given the freedom and resources to think. The system works so well, because everyone is so ambitious. You know how the people on "Star Trek" act? With everyone is eager to grow their minds---that's exactly what MSFT is like. I'd also liken it to communism (in theory), which is what it seems like.
I can't wait to work there!
