And the factors you pointed out for MSFT are valid ones. These are the primary areas of business that MSFT are in and any factors in these areas should be discussed.

In addition to the technology areas you mention, there are also the shorter term issues that will likely affect MSFT's long term future (either good or bad) and even the future of the industry and consumer as a whole. MSFT is a bigger player in the industry so factors that dramatically effect MSFT may effect the dynamics of the industry.

These shorter term issues are: the DOJ case against MSFT, the SUN case against MSFT, and the Y2K issue.

(BTW folks - remember my stock prediction for today? Peak at about $105 in early trading and then start sliding below $102. Looks like my $105 peak might be right-on already because the slide is starting to happen - thank you thank you - no applause)
