From what I understand, at Microsoft, most people just take whatever project(s) they feel like doing. What I mean by Microsofties not having specific jobs, is that they don't have traditional jobs (boss-->employee with specific dutites) as in most companies. And obviously, they would need to be good at whatever it is they want to do.

In the communist system, things are done for the greater good. Everyone works hard to do their part, no matter what their job is--and all this work is done with no supervisor going around making sure that everyone is doing their best.....I liken this to the way things seem to be at Microsoft. Granted, everyone isn't paid equally.

P.S. BTW, I don't believe that Microsoft is going to be the best performing stock of the future--or even close. I just think that it offers a tremendous risk/reward for any long term investor. My [only] other picks for the very long term, which have similar risk/reward as MSFT are CSCO, INTC, and NKE.
