So a little honesty from one app vendor and they all suffer... Why not just get the 1999 IT budget survey info from Gartner and see where money is being spent next year and quit all the quesswork? Then you'll see exactly why PSFT, BAANF, JDEC, DELL, others will see their business tail off next year. The 1999 IT budgets will be unlike their predecessors. Surprising that PSFT only vaguely predicts Y2K to cause somewhere around a 50% reduction in license revenue. Why can't they be more specific? Gartner can. They survey IT managers directly. The 1999 budgets should be pretty close to final now. Prepare for the shockwaves! ttf
