Hi Keith. If the new electronic trading system in Canada allows block trades to go through on another exchange the houses will not have the need to manipulate the price of a stock up and down to make crosses on the TSE. I see this as a bad news for the day trader who relies on these price manipulations for a living.

Thats very true Keith. However, the crosses normally occur in an artificial environment and rarely impact share volatility (MOO). They do however, confuse momentum indicators, therefore our data should be more accurate and "true momentum" will be easier identified!

A fast and relatively linear increase in share volume is much easier to interpret than one that is scitzoid!

My only concern is that because the Canuck exchanges are so inefficient, we could theoretically set up a number of "markets" for the same stock at different prices!!
