Dave

I spent longer than I'd intended to here

To my benefit and appreciation......

Your points ie HDD, CPU, case are ground zero and irrifutable (sp?). You really think the 2880s have had enough time for proven reliability, eh.... thats the sound of my decision bending..

How do you think the half speed 512k L2 cache on the PII measures up with the full speed on-die 128k cache on the 300a?

IN win was my first choice and I seem to be returning to it. Can't find any info on its PS though, I'd like to know MTB whatever.... you know....how long its supposed to live.

I know I could get much better prices by ordering from a couple of venders and having assembly done locally ( I have enough learning to do on my plate right now, thank you). Pcnut is a known quality assembler though prices are not rock bottom. Local guy is unknown but easily available...

No need to reply, Dave, unless you have more.. I'm just thinking out load again... might stir interesting thoughts from others......

Clarence
