Well, as of 9AM things are looking up. Kurlak has given a renewed green light on semis in general and INTEL in particular. One of the other anal ysts (Prudential chick?) also finally jumped on board moving INTEL from a hold to a strong buy. Apparently she was the only one not on board but is now. Market is beginning to focus on upcoming earnings and MMX missles! By the way, I still stand behind my comments about the problems at COMPUSA perhaps being MMX related. Someone here said that people who are aware of the MMX don't shop at CPU. That is only half true. Computer savvy folks generally DO NOT shop at CPU and have moved to GATEWAY and DELL. But no one buys a computer blind anymore. Even CPU customers have friends who advise them to "wait for that new thing coming out on Jan 8th". People have learned by getting burned (those would be good song lyrics!) in the past. They know enough to ask "is this the latest technology?" and "is something new coming out next week?".

The problems at CPU don't worry me as an Intel investor. I believe that there is a Pentiup demand (ok, that was bad) that will be unleashed by the MMX. And, buyers of "the biggest and fastest" computers from Gateway/Dell MUST have INTEL INSIDE.
