Ken,
From being in your chatroom, I realize your primary rule in trading is to keep good stops. In that regard, I want to point out a feature in the newest version of CyBerTrader, version 1.7 Beta, which I am now testing. There are many new, powerful features, but this one I think you will appreciate the most.
In the Account Manager menu, under options, there are several new items including:
(1) Alerts/Alarms - The system can now alert the trader visually and audibly to stocks that have met the trader's present conditions.
(2) Auto Load Facility - The system will automatically pre-load a stock into the trader's stock (marketmaker) box according to present specifications.
(3) Auto Order Entry - The system can be programmed to enter an order for any stock at any predetermined level, to enter or exit a position. Conditional orders can be pre-programmed to enter a trade automatically at any pre-set criteria.
(4) Stop Loss Manager - The trader can now program the system to enter an order once his/her current position reaches a predetermined loss level. Traders can choose a trailing stop loss set in either percentage or points and can elect for orders to be submitted automatically, even selecting which type order, routing, etc.
Alerts and conditions can be applied to a specific stock position, or to all positions subsequently opened.
I won't go into all the new features here, but I thought you might be particularly interested in these recent improvements. Customizing and properly utilizing these features, it seems traders can go a long way toward removing the biggest obstacle to trading success, thereby improving one's risk/reward ratio.
