Verification of Indo ISP acquisition...

Brought to you by your friendly DGIV dd group, Benji.

There has been some recent discussion on the ownership of P.T.
Primedia ArmoEkadata (an Indonesian ISP). The Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association, the main association in Indonesia, has been contacted and they confirmed that Digitcom, a US company, acquired them. Information is still being collected in this area and will be posted if it expands or refutes this assertion.

There also appears to be some confusion over the number of licensed ISP's. The best information that we have so far is that there are currently 42 licensed ISP's operating in Indonesia. Again, this issue is still being investigated and additional clarifying information will be posted if obtained.

There have been assertions that the company stated that only 15 ISP licenses would be granted in Indonesia. A search through DGIV Press Releases and their Newsletters (by two different people) uncovered no such statement.
