I certainly have to agree that management's decision to keep silent has resulted in depressing the stock price. I'm not entirely sure why they've chosen this path. I know people have speculated that their silence is a product of legal advice, but I'm a securities lawyer and I can tell you that it would be highly unusual for me to tell a corporate client to remain absolutely silent for this length of time in the face of such a significant price decline. In fact, I would likely advise a similarly situated client that its fiduciary duty to its shareholders may well require some type of communication. Let's face it, conducting a limited conference call and explaining the numbers and future growth prospects -- yes, with all the weasely lawyer safe harbour caveats etc . . . included -- is not too much to ask of managment and does not place them at any legal risk.

As much as I want to give management the benefit of the doubt, their actions make no sense to me. Either they are getting horrible legal advice, or there is something really wrong with this company and they are hiding behind the familiar "my lawyer advised me to remain silent" mumbo-jumbo in hopes that whatever the problem is will go away. Neither alternative fills me with confidence about the future of this company. Good luck.
