I rarely go short anything since I have a real mental problem with it. Im not joking either, and it actually hurts me since I just cant feel comfortable thus limits my trading but hey.. could be worse.. I made a lot of money trading cien today.. I dont go crazy reading charts any longer. I simply do some f/a and just watch the tape ALL day without blinking. Shorts were all over cien today so it made trading it so easy it was sinful.. It was obvious that 13 1/2 was the 'wall' so I kept buying and selling large chunks for small change. It was risk free since 99% of the money in CIEN now is retail just going back and forth.. BBBY was null today and I didnt even watch NOVL. As you probably can tell, im not looking for the wild rides these days since I feel we could crap out any second.. im taking 1/8, 1/4, and yes even 1/16th here and there.. I scrapped all my positions a few weeks back and now I just trade until we settle down again. I look for volume and shorts. If most the people are shorting? I look for a good drop and jump in.. usually never fails because too many people tend to pile onto one side of the boat and cause a tip.. sorta like what happened after Greenspans magic trick last week.. check out AMFM - long of course-... small float, and nothing but big institutions who make this one move fast and furious.. Im starting a position in this one simply because of who is involved with it and why. DELL faked me out big time today but at least I got my 3 point gap in the morning unlike that damned asnd... argh.. also lost money on ERICY because it just didnt move. Time for some booze and a movie! gnight
