Michelle, Jay, Mrknowitall, and jbe: my paragraph beginning "let's be Michelle's children", was 1) totally hypothetical, since Michelle doesn't have any children, and 2) totally fiction, since I made it all up. It was a "senario" out of my head, based on what I could glean from Michelle's comments on motherhood, children, etc.
Therefore, lighten up everyone. I don't owe anyone an apology, and I don't retract my post. You say my senario was "shocking", Michelle??? Bringing kids to daycare is "shocking"? Like I've told you before, Michelle, in a post which you declined to comment on, one of my nicest aunts single-handedly raised a son, and I really like both of them.
Now all you guys have gone off the deep end, and jbe even says "shame". Jbe, get a grip. I didn't insult Michelle. Michelle herself, yes you Michelle, have stated that out of several combinations of raising a child without a man in the house, your preference would be some kind of arms-length relationship with the father.
