What do I want to see in a biometric security system?
1. Ease of use.
2. Low maintenance cost.
3. Secure identification technology.
4. Less expensive than comparable alternatives
5. Inexpensive to install or retrofit.
6. Backup system in case of system failure.
7. Usable by all.
8. Transparent to users.

If you consider the different security systems on the market today, they all fail in one or more areas. Keys are not transparent and are relatively easy to fool. Fingerprint readers require clean fingers (hopefully still attached to their owners), a deliberate action (not transparent to users.) and statisticly are not totally secure. Retinal scanners are not transparent to users, have problems with drug use, menstral cycles, mental illnesses, etc. and are expensive.
Voice recognition is not transparent, has trouble with voice changes, and is relatively expensive.
Anybody know of a system that meets all of the above traits?
