Green Oasis Signs Scandinavian Marketing Agreement With SMEBA AB

CHARLESTON, S.C., Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Oasis Environmental Inc today announced that it had signed an agreement with SMEBA AB, Norrkoping, Sweden, for exclusive rights to market Green Oasis' EnviroEcomonics(TM) units in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. Under the terms of the agreement, SMEBA must purchase at least one unit for its own usage or for third party sale in the next six months in order to retain its exclusive rights. Negotiations for the sale of the first unit to SMEBA, a private Swedish company engaged in the purification of hydrocarbon contaminated water and microwave treatment of oil sludge, are currently taking place.

William D. Carraway, president, stated that "These countries have the strictest standards for hydrocarbon disposal and environmental standards of any of the European countries. The various Scandinavian environmental regulatory bodies have reviewed the Green Oasis EnviroEconomics(TM) process and accompanying data and have represented to SMEBA that the Green Oasis plants and process meet or exceed all standards. As a result, SMEBA has entered into this agreement, which, if as successful as contemplated, could complete our budgeted manufacturing production for 1997."
