OT - History

Listening to an interview of the author of a book called "The Rape Of Nanking" tonight. I knew the Japanese committed atrocities in China before WWII but was unaware of the magnitude. She claimed in a two-week period the Japanese murdered 350,000 Chinese in Nanking. They raped 10s of thousands of women. Said 10s of millions of Chinese were killed during the Japanese occupation. She remarked how differently the Japanese war criminals were treated compared to the Nazi criminals.

Maybe the Japanese monarchist religious fanatics didn't fit anywhere in the left right cosmos.
