Osci-- You misread my post. I repeated what Gogonzo himself said in his last two posts, that his market call was incorrect, and I said to that "Bummer." That is a remark of sympathy. Most of us make incorrect calls from time to time.
I also complimented his charts.
I was far more kind to him than I think his behavior here warranted. I ended with "bye" since he said he is leaving. I did not invite him to leave, but I acknowledged his departure.
No one asked anyone to leave this thread and if anyone is so infantile to leave because of some petulance related to my presence here, then no one should ask them to stay, either. These people should be able to figure out for themselves that this is an open forum, not a private club, and that people will participate whom they don't personally like. There's a lot of brain power here; many of them are much more intelligent than I am. Let them work it out.
Perhaps you should take the time to read the last two hundred notes in this thread, before you jump to conclusions.
I posted a single brief note about an incorrect call, and these "gentlemen" came forth to post abusive notes to me, rubbing salt in wounds of major market losses, suggesting I jump out a window and worse -- attempts to really hurt me. This effort has been organized through email, calling people in here from other threads, just to be abusive towards me -- all this for my single little note mentioning the bear flag that had been overlooked.
Perhaps my note was insufficiently tactful, but it was certainly not abusive in any way. I think that some of these fellows act like grade school children, and at the same time want to run the school!
My read of Gogonzo's note is that some of these guys simply don't want to stop being abusive in order to participate in this open forum. That's their choice.
Your attitude is nice, and I applaud it. I observe however that you said nothing about the abuse till Gogonzo announced his departure. I didn't invite anyone to leave and will not invite anyone to stay. The answer to what would get Gogonzo to stay would be my leaving. You are not getting that, but I do wish you well in your efforts towards the peaceful participation of all.
